Registration, Tuition & Withdrawal Policies

Tuition is annual, and based on the number of lessons received over an entire school year, not on the number received each month. This is standard private school policy.

Ballet Conservatory West offers two tuition payment options.

1) Payment in full - Tuition may be paid in full at the time of registration, with a 5% discount, along with an annual Registration and Insurance fee of $75.  Our Registration and Insurance fee is per family, not per student.

2) Ten Installments - Installments 1 and 10 (September and June) are due upon registration, along with an annual Registration and Insurance fee of $75. Our Registration and Insurance fee is per family, not per student.  The remaining 8 installments are due on the first of each month, beginning October and continuing through May. Installments 1 and 10 are non refundable after the first day of classes.

The school accepts major credit cards, cash or checks. Credit cards can be enrolled in monthly auto pay, with each monthly installment processed on the first of each month. Please make checks payable to Ballet Conservatory West. There is a $25 fee for returned checks, and a $15 late fee for payments made after the 7th of each month.

After a student's first class, tuition is non refundable. If a student withdraws prior to the first day of class all tuition is eligible for a refund, except for the registration fee.

Please note - Enrollment is ongoing and students admitted after the school year has begun are eligible to pay a prorated amount.  Prorated tuition is based on the week that your child begins class.

In order to withdraw from classes, families must notify the school via email with 30 days notice prior to the first of the month, or families are responsible for payment of the following month's tuition installment.  Once withdrawal requests have been received, subsequent installment payments will be removed.

Adult and Hand In Hand Classes

Adult classes can be paid per class or by purchasing a 10 class card.  Class cards expire 6 months from time of purchase.  Adult classes are $25 each, or discounted at $21 each when purchasing a ten class card in the amount of $210. No registration fee is required.

Hand In Hand classes are paid per class and are $20 each.  No registration fee is required.

Dress Code, Etiquette, & Make-Up Lessons

BCW's dress code is designed to encourage unity and discipline among our students. Students not meeting the required dress code will be restricted from participation in class. Please reference your dancer’s level on the Classes and Programs page for uniform guidelines.

Students must be on time. Once a student's class has begun, they may not enter without permission from the teacher. Any student entering class more than ten minutes late may observe the class, but not participate.

Make up lessons are welcome and encouraged.  Students may make up a missed lesson within one week prior to an anticipated absence, or within three weeks after an absence.
